Singing songs of immortality, Evangelos sat in the shade, hiding his slow, careful eyes from the harsh light. He smiled gently and whispered lyrics of glory and wonder, the power of life ever lasting. His young, smooth face turned up to the fluttering leaves and sang out, calling, crying, summoning the beings of magic into his world of monotony. Leaves fell and seasons added years to his young face but he was persistent, calling, searching the eyes of every passer by for secrets, eternities within their gaze.
